Isn't it amazing how fulfilling life can be when you truly do what you love for a living? What could be better than working in an environment of happy, wagging tails, purring kitties, and lots of wet kisses? Although owning and running 4 Paws Community Center is a lot of hard work, Owner Linda Travis, feels it is well worth it.
Linda worked in corporate America for many years in the computer industry. One day, while sitting in her dull-gray cubicle searching for something more meaningful, she asked herself “what did I want to be when I grew up?” Her love of animals led her to her first job at age 13 at a local kennel. That’s it, she thought – it made perfect sense – her career was full circle. She was seeking her passion and fulfillment.
For over 4 years prior to opening 4 Paws, Linda spent time discovering how to create the best pet care facility. She researched the best products and materials, talked to experts, visited pet resorts across the country, and attended several certification courses, conferences, and seminars for pet care. After being laid off during the 2008 economic downturn, she decided to follow her heart, take a chance, and open her own business in 2009.
A Dream Come True
4 Paws Community Center was created to meet the needs of the pet-loving community. It offers a modern facility with many safety features. New customers are always encouraged to take a tour of the facility so that they know that their pet will be treated with the utmost comfort and care while they are gone.
Loving & Highly Trained Staff
The biggest asset of 4 Paws Community Center is the most loyal, loving, and caring staff. Our Managers create a fun, caring, pet-focused working environment. Most of our staff members have been at 4 Paws for many years. Safety is always the number one priority at 4 Paws and all of the staff members complete two extensive 8 week training courses on dog behavior and safety. We have also implemented rigorous in-house procedure training and continuing education is encouraged for all staff members.
